dearblankpleaseblank.com

HAHAHA, this website is so awesome. Karen should have never shown it to me, I am clearly an addict. I stay up in the wee hours of the night to read these until I get too tired :P

Dear Spongebob Squarepants, You're yellow, you can't drive, and you do karate. You thought we wouldn't notice? Sincerely, the Asians.

Dear CatDog, Please tell me how you poop. I have wondered for so long. Sincerely, a confused fan.

Dear whoever designed the toilet, please consider making them echo-resistant. Sincerely, that fart was supposed to be quiet.

Dear Windshield Wipers, can't touch this. Sincerely, that little triangle.

As of about 10 minutes ago, I finished my first year of college!!!
I am more than relieved, I feel like a free bird now :) I'm ready to work my butt off for the next four months :)
So, now that it's summer time, I can only think of a million things I want to do!

-Go swimming/tanning every day!
-Make BANK at a new job!
-Visit Amy and Ashley in Rexburg. ROAD TRIIIIP! Marie, are you in?
-Visit my dad, brother, and relatives in Vernal again!
-Hike Bridal Veils and see the pretty waterfall.
-Sleep in as much as possible.
-Read lots of books, watch lots of movies (give me suggestions!)
-Buy at least 3 new dresses.
-EXERCISE!
-Go to Karebear's high school graduation!
-Eat sushi, often.

AHHH. There is so much I want to do, I can't wait til it warms up! :)
Everyone, good luck on your finals, and have an amazing summer!

Congrats, Megan & Ken!

On Saturday, April 23, 2011, my two beautiful friends, Ken Schramm and Megan Andersen (now Megan Schramm) got married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for all time and eternity! I am so happy for them :) It was great to see how happy they are, and to see the love of them, their family, and all my friends there!

Look how cute they are :)

DELICIOUS food at the luncheon :)

The bridesmaids. Look how cute and yellow we are :)

Even Alex wore yellow for the theme of their wedding, he's so handsome :)

Also this weekend:
-Thursday: Had a sleepover with Karen and Naomi, and hung out with Ben, Cecilia, and Daryl. It's so good to see you all again!! I can't wait for another amazing summer with ya'll! Karen and I went shopping, and ate lots of food, yay!
-Friday: STUDIED STUDIED STUDIED. As midnight rolled around, I decided to go to my friends' apartment to watch a movie. Ip Man 2. AMAZING. Everyone watch it.
-Saturday: Took my history final, got an 83%, booyahhh! Then the wedding!
-Sunday: Regan's homecoming talk. He has a way to touch hearts, really. Also Happy Easter! :)

I have you in my heart.

"I wish Heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again.
I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and the days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name.
All I have are memories and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake from which I'll never part.
God has you in his arms. I have you in my heart."

Isn't this such a cute poem? I love it. I miss you Tyler, I can't believe it's been almost 10 months since you left :( You were such an amazing friend, thank you for everything, and for always being so nice! It'll be a great day when I can see you again :) We'll eat lots of Pop-Tarts and we'll color pictures with glitter glue, like the old days!

Heber

After church today, Shelbie, M'kaaylie, Heather, and I took a trip to Heber, mostly for Shelbie to pick up some school stuff, but it was so fun to see her house! Heber is a really pretty town, so quiet and peaceful. We're going to sleep in her super nice trailer soon! Yay!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Have any of you seen that movie? Starring Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts. I used to watch it all the time when I was little. I want to watch it again.

BUT....
This weekend really will be my friend's wedding, it's so crazy. My lovely friend Megan Andersen is getting married this Saturday, April 23rd, to Ken Schramm! I've known both of them for SO long, and I'm so excited for them :) Megan had a bridal shower over the weekend, it was much fun, and much yumyum food!

Me, Marie, SOON-TO-BE MEGAN SCHRAMM, and Naomi :)

Priesthood Power!

For the past week, I've been feeling VERY sick. Some days it was stomache aches and diarrhea (sorry, that's gross...but true), some days I was dizzy or had a headache, and somedays, CRAMPS like a mother. Yuck.
So last night before going to dinner with my roommates, I had my home teacher Tommy, and another friend Tyler, come give me a blessing. I felt so much comfort from the Lord, and I'm so thankful for the power of priesthood! I feel much better! I'd been taking medicine for the past week, and it didn't help much, but after my blessing, I haven't taken anything, and I feel great!

Sleep.

It's 6:30 am, and I haven't gone to bed yet! And I have class at 8:00, so no time for sleep! This is the first all-nighter I've done since I moved to Orem! Fun friends, scary movies, and cold pizza! Yay! We watched the Last Song to get our minds off the scary movies, and oh boy, that movie was SO good, even though Miley Cyrus isn't my favorite. There were lots of good lines.

"Love is fragile. And we're not always its best caretakers. We just muddle through and do the best we can. And hope this fragile thing survives against all odds."

"We're not perfect. Any of us. We make mistakes, we screw up but then we forgive and move forward."

"Sometimes you have to be apart from the people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes it makes you love them more."

Road Triiiip!

Today, Alex and I took a drive to Vernal, Utah (famous for dinosaurs, rawr!)
I drove more than 300 miles today, it's the furthest I've ever driven! So we went to my grandparents' house, and it was so fun! I got to see my dad, little brother Ian, aunts, uncles, cousins, and my grandparents! They were so nice to throw me a little birthday party, got me presents, a cake, cupcakes, and HUGE dinner! Spaghetti, garlic butter bread, salad, mashed taters, and drinks, mmm mmm mmmm! It was a wonderful day, and I WILL be back to Vernal soon :) I definitely didn't want to leave!

Mmmmmm cake and cupcakes for my birthday!

Alex, me, my dad, and brother Ian!

My brother Ian and me. We SO look alike, how awesome! He is so cute and doesn't know English! I loved him so much, maybe because he's shy and quiet like me :P
I wish I could bring him home with me!!

Alex is such a goober! This is on our way back to Salt Lake.
PS, on the way home, we listened to AFI - Sing the Sorrow. I ALWAYS forget how much I love AFI until I listen to them after a long time. So, so good :)

It's the middle of April, and still WINTER?! Holy cow!

So come what may.

Yesterday, Alex and I went to the Provo Temple! It was the first time I've been in that one. It was super busy, there were lots of people, and many odd couples cuddling in the temple...very odd. Anyway, I still felt such peace and comfort while I was there, and I'm so thankful I could go. It also must have been my lucky day, they played my two favorite hymns, "I Believe in Christ" and "If You Could Hie to Kolob". So, so beautiful :) Alex and I have gone to the temple for three months in a row now, and it's always a great start to each month!

"I believe in Christ, so come what may. With him I'll stand in that great day, when on this earth he comes again to rule among the sons of men" ANYTHING can be done through Christ if you just let him in! I've seen that the older I get, the harder life gets...but also the happier life gets. Trials are going to keep coming at us, but we can stand strong and find joy in life if we take advantage of blessings we can receive by having Christ in our lives :)

I'm sorry, but...

I won't ever be good enough.
It's your own problem to deal with, because I never never do anything good enough, or correct, and you just can't see anything good I do.
Your own problem now, not mine.

Clothesline Project

Today, after my sociology class, Mariah and I came across this project going on at school. All these shirts' colors represent different types of abuse, and peoples' different stories. Also, gongs chimed every 10 seconds, which represents how often people are battered. Every 30 seconds, a whistle blew representing rapes that are reported. Every few minutes, a bell chimed representing deaths that happened from abuse. It was AWFUL, and I am SO thankful for my life. I have amazing people in my life, who treat me well, and I'm even more thankful for everything I have :)

Happy birthday to me!

So this past weekend was my biiirthday! I am FINALLY nineteen! Woohoo. Alex was so wonderful and got me the prettiest shoes ever, that I've been wanting! And took me to Cafe Rio to get me my favorite pork barbacoa burritos, MMMMMM.

My best friend Karen made me the cutest card ever, along with a necklace and bracelet that she made herself!! Does it get any better than that? I think not :) I have an amazing best friend.

My parents and obaachan gave me money, and thank you thank you, I love shopping.

Karen, we are going shopping this week to celebrate our birthdays and the fact that you have quit Simply Sushi (aka Bad Fish). Yay! I love you.

My momma was so kind, and made me my FAVORITES: gyoza (aka potstickers) and Japanese strawberry shortcake, even though she wasn't feeling well all weekend, thanks Mom!

Today, Alex and I were planning on going to Vernal to visit my dad, little brother Ian, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. But with my luck, I woke up to a BLIZZARD, after these few weeks of warm weather. Utah, you suck sometimes. Plans have been moved to next Sunday. IT BETTER NOT SNOW!!! Anyway, so with this bad news, I had a terrible day and have been grumpy all day. Thankfully, I have such an amazing boyfriend that he made me spend the day with him until I was happy. I love you Alex, thank you for being so patient with me!!
