I can't believe it's already been another year! But I'm glad it is, it's a good time to make new goals, get rid of bad habits (which I have many of, unfortunately) and start over!
I started out 2011 still living at Wolverine Crossing with M'kaaylie and Shelbie. Over the summer, I moved to Summerwood Apartments so I could have a single room, it's GREAT! I like the privacy. Buuut, my roommates are not cool. I miss M'kaaylie and Shelbie a lot. I'm still going to UVU (I think I'll be here for awhile), and I actually started a new job over a month ago at Vivint Home Automation and Security. It's been the most amazing job ever! It's really hard, but I still love it.
Not dating anyone now, but that's okay, maybe 2012 has some hope ;)
This year, some terrible things happened in Japan. Huge earthquakes, tsunamis, and radiation leakage. Luckily, all of my family was safe there. But, a great thing came of it. My little brother Ian and my dad got away from there, and came here. My brother now has been baptized, and is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! He now lives here in the US, and is learning to speak English. I'm really proud of him :)
Two of my very close friends got married this year, and it's so exciting! Especially because I also knew both husbands, so I guess FOUR of my friends got married this year :) In April, my friends Megan Andersen and Ken Schramm got married in the Salt Lake Temple for all time and eternity. They're the first people to be married and are both from Daiichi, preeeetty cool. In December, my two friends Cecilia Warner and Daryl Harvard were married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple for all time and eternity! I'm also SO happy for them.
I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid for both these weddings, and I'm so glad I was able to be a part of their special days :)
Many great little events happened at the end of this year though. Maybe it's the happiness of the Christmas season, but I was able to see so many of my old friends during the holidays! I saw Tyler Nguyen a few days ago, and he was my best friend in high school. I've missed him a ton, so it was great to catch up. I also was able to see all my friends from Daiichi. With college, marriages, and missions, it's been a LONG time since we've all been together, so it was great to see all my childhood friends and to catch up on life! Also, (dun dun dun) I was able to see one of my best friends, ASHLEY SMITH. We were friends back when I was like, 8 and 9 years old, but then Ashley and Amy moved away. A few years ago, Ashley and I found each other on Facebook, and literally became best friends, even though it was a friendship over Facebook, Skype, and text messaging. But she came here on December 28th, and I'm just so happy! I love her so much :)
This year has had many ups and downs, but I'm overall happy with how the year went, but I KNOW this year will be even more amazing!
