Last night, a huge earthquake (magnitude 8.9) hit Japan, and it was the worst earthquake that's happened. It's so devastating :(
I'm so blessed. All my friends and family in Japan are safe, still have a place to live, and are alive. I can't wait until this summer to see them :) After disasters like this, you never know if the last time you saw your loved ones will be the last time you'll see them. I'm so grateful that my family and friends are safe, so that I can see them all again.
I'm also so thankful for what I do have. I'm sure I complain a lot, wishing I could have more, being a poor college student, but really, I'm SO blessed. My family is safe, I have a job, I have my apartment to live in, I have amazing people in my life. There are people in Japan right now who I'm sure have lost everything, or close to that, so I should be so thankful for all I do have. The biggest blessing though, is the gospel of Jesus Christ. If I lost everything, that's one thing I know I will never, ever lose, and the gospel gives me so much hope, even when the world is going downhill.
I love Japan so, so much. The people there are so kind, loving, and amazing, and I love everything about that country. They are in my prayers. I hope they'll have the comfort and help they'll need. Everything will be okay :)
